What is Visitor Ready
Visitor Ready is a free, entry-level accreditation for hospitality, leisure, and tourism businesses. It helps you show that your business is safe, trusted, and compliant with government legislation and industry standards. You complete the process online. Submit documents, self-certify key requirements, and sign up to a customer charter.
Once approved, you receive a digital badge to display on your website, emails, and marketing materials. This badge shows customers your business meets legal requirements like public liability, fire safety, and gas safety.
It builds trust and gives visitors confidence that your property is ready and reliable. You must agree to the terms of the scheme when you apply. That includes submitting accurate documents and following the charter.

The world of destination marketing is very competitive. Visitor Ready enables hospitality and tourism businesses to showcase their compliance with the laws governing their industry. The accreditation provides a digital badge and a secure storage and reminder system for your key documents.
How long does it take?

What if I have multiple businesses/locations?
Applications are made for each business separately. If you have multiple businesses and locations, you’ll be able to add the additional ones after you have completed your initial registration and application. If you have 10 or more businesses contact Visitor ready.
Upgrading to the digital package
Businesses can upgrade to our higher tier at the start or end of the application process. Approved businesses will appear on RatedTrips.com within a few days. AA and VisitEngland quality assessed businesses do not need to upgrade – their Visitor Ready badge will be added to their current RatedTrips.com page.
How It Works
Step One – Apply online – Check your eligibility and create an account. Any UK-based business in tourism, leisure should apply.
Step Two – Upload Documents – Provide evidence that shows you have complied with UK legislation for your sector. You’ll need to supply: Public liability Insurance certificate, employment liability insurance certificate, food hygiene grading evidence and fire safety risk assessment
Step Three – Confirm Key Requirements – Confirm you’ll adhere to key responsibilities and the Visitor Ready charter including: GDPR and data security, equality and diversity, carbon monoxide legislation and customer service requirements
Step Four – Get Your Digital Badge – Specialists will confirm your business meets all criteria. Approved businesses get the following assets: Digital badge, digital wallet containing all your compliance details, email reminders when it is time to update documents and regular updates on legislation changes and other news.
