All projects funded by the Herefordshire County BID are closely monitored for Return On Investment. Monitoring will include, social media metrics, website analytics, Levy Payer feedback and Visitor feedback on HCBID supported networking events.

We design all our marketing activity to drive traffic to VisitHerefordshire.co.uk. The site inspires visitors and helps them plan their trips with ease. Visit Herefordshire hosts dedicated content tailored to our key audiences. Levy Payers and Volunteer Members can create and edit directory listings and event profiles at any time. If you’re a Levy Payer, you can set up your business profile by clicking the button below.

May – July 2025, Visit Herefordshire had 5 million impressions within Google Search. This shows the site’s power to generate leads for our levy Payers. In addition, the website now holds many campaigns with downloadable content featuring many Levy paying businesses. This new style content has seen high downloads since being launched. Extensive work has been undertaken to improve search engine performance. Our site is typically ranks as the top search result in Google.

Visit Herefordshire Official Tourism Body

Visit Herefordshire is Herefordshire’s official tourism body. The role of Visit Herefordshire is to encourage visitors to come and enjoy the delights of Herefordshire, spend more time here and go away happy and planning another visit. HCBID funds Visit Herefordshire and its vital work, including marketing campaigns, development of the VisitHerefordshire.co.uk website, PR campaigns, social media channels, digital marketing and sector engagement.

Impactful marketing & PR campaigns

The world of destination marketing is very competitive. To stand out to potential visitors and media, we have to flex our creativity. All of our campaigns are drawn from our brand values and focus on attracting our defined target audiences. On brand photography and copy is also essential. Campaigns have included:

We promote these campaigns to a wide range of media outlets. Visit Herefordshire brand has secured coverage in titles such as The Guardian, Daily Telegraph, iNews, Conde Nast Traveller, Best, Stylist, Independent etc.

We also host journalists on press trips to provide them with valuable first-hand experience of all Herefordshire has to offer.

Engaging social media

HCBID actively manages the Visit Herefordshire Instagram (17k followers) and Facebook (nearly 13k followers), using these platforms to attract visitors through key marketing campaigns. We promote downloadable guides, itineraries, and walking routes to encourage exploration of our county.

Our audience loves hearing what’s happening in Herefordshire, so we regularly share stories and posts from local businesses to keep the buzz going.
