Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards 2026

Herefordshire’s tourism industry continues to go from strength to strength, with exceptional businesses across the County delivering memorable experiences, high-quality accommodation, and outstanding food and drink. Herefordshire County BID is delighted to launch the Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards 2026, now in the third year, proudly celebrating what makes our County so unique. The awards aim to recognise excellence within the sector and celebrate the achievements of our vibrant tourism community.

The Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards is one of the County’s leading business celebration events, showcasing and rewarding the strength and success of Herefordshire’s visitor economy.

In partnership with the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence Herefordshire winners will be put forward to the national awards in the hope of being shortlisted and winning the VisitEngland national Excellence Awards.

Award entries are easy to complete and are open to all leisure and hospitality businesses in Herefordshire across the following 16 categories. 13 of the categories are linked to the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, and 3 are Herefordshire only award categories (identified below in brackets).

• B&B and Guest House of the Year (National category)
• Business Events Venue of the Year (National category)
• Visitor Attraction of the Year (National category)
• Regenerative Tourism Award (National category)
• Experience of the Year (National category)
• Hotel of the Year (National category)
• New Tourism Business of the Year (National category)
• Pub of the Year (National category)
• Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year (If entering this category do not enter Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year) (National category)
• Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year (If entering this category do not enter Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year) (National category)
• Taste of Herefordshire / Taste of England (National category)
• Unsung Hero Award (National category)
• Retailer of the Year (Herefordshire Only Category)
• Wedding Venue of the Year (Herefordshire Only Category)
• Herefordshire Producer of the Year (Herefordshire Only Category)

Key Dates:

• Application Stage – 23 April 2026 – 08 June 2026
• Round 1 Judging – 1 June 2026 – 30 June 2026
• Round 2 Judging – 1 August 2025 – 15 September 2026
• Visit Herefordshire Tourism Awards Evening – February 2027 tbc
